Privacy Policy

1. Overview
This policy explains what information Namika (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our apps and website (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. Namika’s purpose is to help you pursue positive goals with a personal AI assistant. We collect what we need to make that work, and no more.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email, and authentication data, managed by our identity provider (Clerk).
- Content you create: chat messages with your assistant, goals, check-ins, journal entries, trackers, and the “memories” your assistant keeps.
- Assistant creation media: photos you upload to create an assistant’s face and voice recordings you provide to create its voice. These are used to generate and operate YOUR assistant.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processors; we never see full card numbers.
- Usage and device data: logs, diagnostics, and crash reports used to keep the Service fast and reliable.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide the Service: run your assistant, generate replies, plans, and voice.
- To personalize coaching (your goals, check-ins, and memories inform replies).
- To enforce safety: automated moderation of goals and conversations.
- To operate, debug, secure, and improve the Service.
- To process subscriptions and communicate with you about the Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. AI Processing and Service Providers
To generate assistant conversations, plans, images, and speech, your relevant content is processed by third-party AI and infrastructure providers acting on our behalf, including: Google (Gemini models: conversation, planning, image generation, and safety moderation), Inworld and Cartesia (text-to-speech and voice cloning), Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), and error-monitoring/analytics providers. These providers process data under their own security and privacy commitments; we share only what is needed for the feature you are using.
5. Retention and Deletion
Content is retained while your account is active so your assistant remembers your goals and history. Deleting an assistant deletes its associated content (including its voice clone and cached audio). Deleting your account removes your personal data from production systems within a reasonable period, except records we must keep for legal, security, or billing purposes. To request deletion, contact privacy@namika.ai.
6. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users under the age of majority may use the Service only with a parent or guardian’s consent and supervision, and the parent or guardian is responsible for that use (see the Terms of Service). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact privacy@namika.ai and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, scoped credentials, isolated storage, and least-privilege access, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Exercise these rights via privacy@namika.ai; we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
